Edible Gifting: DIY Christmas Biscuit Bonbons

I love making gifts for my friends and family. There is nothing better than making something simple yet memorable over the festive season. But what I really love is baking AND making gifts for my friends and family. Last year I made DIY Homemade Salted Caramel Jars, and this year I wanted to make something that was also quick and but a little easier. Enter my DIY Christmas Biscuit Bonbons. I had a crazy idea to make this a little while ago and I am so surprised it actually worked.

This edible gift is perfect if you are running low on time, which let's be honest, most of us are the closer we get to Christmas. What I love most about this edible gift is that you can bake (or buy!) any biscuits you like. Yes, you read that correctly. You don't actually need to bake your own biscuits! If you want to, here's the recipe for my Chewy Ginger Spiced Biscuits, which I used to fill my Christmas Biscuit Bonbons. I whipped these up while cooking dinner one night and it couldn't have been easier. Additionally, you only need a handful of clear plastic bags and raffia to tie them off, which means this is a very inexpensive gift that also looks bespoke! Read on to find out how you can make your very own DIY Christmas Biscuit Bonbons.

How To

3. If you want to make your own Chewy Ginger Spiced Biscuits, follow my recipe over here. If you have bought your biscuits, nice!

2. Stack 6 biscuits and place them on their side into a clear plastic bag. Tie off the ends using the raffia and cut off any excess raffia. You can tie a bow or a simple double knot. Cut any excess plastic off the ends of the bonbons.

Ta daaaa! The sweetest edible gift you ever did see.

I think we can all agree this is the easiest DIY edible gift for Christmas - ever! If you don't have any raffia, you can use any other material you have at home such as jute string, cotton string or ribbon! You can also mix and match your biscuits. It is important to use clear plastic bags so you can see the biscuits.
